ok, i totally like 'dumping' my blog for several months... coz i just dont know what to write... nothing came in my mind...
and now.. i'm a 6th year medical student. yes, the final year. how time flies...~ *sigh*
i just came back to egypt after the last summer hols. there were many wedding invitations during the holiday. and some other friends were engaged. everyone has grown up i see. me? i still dont know when, where, and with who :)
so.. long time ago i had read a hadith.. it says:
if this dunya has the worth of even a mosquito's wing, Allah would not let the disbeliever have a sip of drink.
it really had me thinking. imagine, if the dunya has the value of a mosquito's wing (i mean, the mosquito has 2 wings). but if only it has the same value of one of those 2 wings, the kuffar cant even have a sip of water. but let us see... they dont just have water... but they have... everything! Allah gives them like more than us (minus the imaan--- say alhamdulillah for the iman we have). this just shows that this world we're living in right now, it is nothing. NOTHING. zero.
but what do we see today? people that is willing to do anything to get what this dunya offers. i'm not saying that we shouldnt strive our best or study hard. no, not things like that. but always we fell envious when people have better things than us. beautiful dress, shoes, bags, cars, house, etc. but we dont care about people who are more pious than us. we dont strive to be better than them. the most we can say is, she is better than us. we are not good enough. bla bla bla. excuses.
what i want to say is... be thankful. dont be greedy. always remember that our aim, our destination is akhirah. what i want is.. to meet Allah as best as i can. i want to see Him. i want to meet Rasulullah saw.
this dunya... let it be. i live here as a servant of Allah. a servant. nothing more.
O Allah, make the dunya in my hand, not in my heart.
